FAQ
Wireless Wall Switch (WS-01/WS-01DC)
1. Are all of your connections mounted properly.
To determine what color wire goes to hot and ground on your light fixture, look at the light fixture where the wire says +12V or -12V . The + should be your hot wire and - is your ground. Record the color of each wire on the fixture and the color of the wire connecting from the RV.
Make sure that the LED Dimmer/controller (little white box) output hot wire (+ LED side) is connected to the +12V fixture or series of light section that you want to control. Do the same with the output ground wire (- LED side) with the fixture ground wire
Make sure that you connect the RV hot wire (+) with the white wire on the LED Dimmer/controller (little white box) input side (+ 5-24V side). The white wire may have an INPUT + sticker on it.
Is the witness light on the remote working properly? If not, see below for more details (#3).
If it is not working › Swap the wires between each other, and then connect your installation's hot wire (+) to the white wire on the controller's side marked "5-24V" (input). Try to operate again.
If still not working › Swap the wires between each other. This Eco-LED® LED controller has been created so you can swap the wires without risking damaging the device (make sure that protect each wire when you swap these wires).
2. Is your setup exceeding 5 amperes (A) of power consumption?
If so, replace the actual controller for a more powerful one (contact us to place an order for that particular item).
You can install up to 3 different controllers for one wireless wall switch. Each of our LED controllers have a unique RF signature, which allows multiple pairing. Each remote can be paired to up to 3 different controllers, and each controller can be recognised by up to 3 remotes, within the same area. If you have multiple wireless wall switch in the same environment, make sure that you are pairing one at a time so they don't interferer each other during the pairing process.
3.Does the blue witness light flashes when you press the ON/OFF button?
YES › The battery is functional.
NO › The battery contained in the wireless wall switch might be dead, or in sleeping mode. (see below how to wake it back up by creating a shortage)
4. Are you using the wireless wall switch within a 30 feet area from the controller, interference-free?
The LED controller's radio frequency reach is limited to 30 feet distance, in and open area. Make sure the LED controller is mounted in an interference-free environment, without too much covering.
5. If you installed multiple devises and they interfere with each other, you can always reset them back to the factory settings by doing the paring process three times in a row, with one individual LED controller.
6. Our LED controllers ON/OFF function is working with all LED light bulbs or fixtures. Some LED products on the market are NOT compatible with the dimming option.
7. If your light fixtures are still with incandescent light bulbs, you may run some issues with the power consumption, and our products will not work properly.
8. Our wireless wall switches are built with to operate all LED lights with PWM technology or resistor to use the dimming option. If you need to replace your LED bulbs or fixture, you may visit our store to find the model that suits your needs.

First, verify that the power source is connected to the side marked "5-24V" (input) of the controller and the side marked "LED" (output) is connected to the light. Secondly, within the first 5 seconds after reconnecting the power on the controller, press the ON/OFF button AND the down arrow button simultaniously. The wireless wall switch will automatically be paired to the controller. Download the PDF file
Repeat the following three (3) times in a row: within the first 5 seconds after reconnecting the power on the controller, press the ON/OFF button AND the down arrow button simultaniously.
Our Eco-LED® DC12V LED controllers supports a maximum of 5A. Make sure your installation does not exceed that limit. For the ampere’s calculation, the watts per lights divided by the voltage (in you case here is 12V) would give you the amps per light. (Total Watts / Input Voltage (12V) = Amperes (A))
After a few months without being used, the battery contained in the wireless wall switch might go in sleep mode. To wake it up, create a little shortage by doing the quick and easy trick below:
How to install a wireless wall switch dimmable on a multi light circuit in your RV with a Rocker switch (PART 1):
Look behind the wall switch for your HOT and Ground wire (white wire) that goes to your LED light circuit (see the picture below of a customer installation in a Keystone product).
When you have located all your wires, start to install your Output (LED) wire first for the LED controller, make sure to install the right polarity wire so the wireless wall switch will work properly.
When the Output side is done, you may install the Input side after, always install the ground first and do the HOT wire for last.
When your LED controller is install properly, do all your testing to see if everything is working well.
Keep in mind that you may need to cut some wire during your installation and make sure that you are identified each of them to remember where they goes.
Sometime different OEM will use different wiring color for their production so make sure that identified which one is the HOT so your installation will be easier and secure.
For the Ground wire of the RV, when you have multi wire in the same location, the one that is coming from the power supply is the INPUT and the one that goes to your light fixture is the Output.
Remove the Rocker switch from the wall area to have access of the lead wires behind
If you find Behind the rocker switch the HOT wire ONLY ( NO ground wire located) proceed with the next step if not see PART 1.
Try to find the first light on the light circuit to start installing the LED controller
Need to install the LED controller behind one of the circuit light behind the ceiling with the Hot and Ground wire, always install the Output side first to avoid premature failure.
Need to run a Ground loop wire from one light to the other to do your testing installation to have a common ground wire for all your light fixtures.
The LED controller have polarity so the wireless wall switch could communicate together, make sure your lead wires are install the proper way if not the power will go thru your fixture without operation.
When everything work properly, make sure that you run your loop wire behind the ceiling to hide the ground wires.
If the ground loop wire couldn’t not be hide behind the ceiling, you need to install the WSB-01DC at each individual light and paired them with the Wireless wall switch.

First, disconnect power from the light strip. Press and hold down both MODE– and SPEED– buttons at the same time and then reconnect power to the light strip within the first 5 seconds, while still holding them. Afterwards, the indicator will flash 3 times to confirm the command is accepted and that the controler will now recognize the new remote when in range. Release the buttons and check remote by turning ON and OFF or changing color.
Light Strips
The VampiR™ pre-programmed connector is easy to use. Once the RV is parked, just plug-in the RV's 7-way connector directly in the VampiR™, as you would when you plug it to the car. Next, determine the time you want the parking lights to come on. When that chosen time arrives, press the yellow button for 5 seconds. The side marker lights will automatically switch on every day at this time and close approximatively 4 hours later. To change the time that the lights switch on, repeat the above operation at the new desired time of the day. NOTE: Once the installation is complete, we recommend placing the VampiR™ connector away from rain, and vertically (yellow button up, 7-way inlet down) as it is NOT WATERPROOF.
YES. A long-lasting battery in the VampiR™ connector allows the built-in memory chip to keep the programming.
Make sure that you store your CP-12 or VP-124 in a Dry area to make sure that all the electronic component could be away from any moisture.
Check on yours or your neighbor RV if it work well, sometime the 7-way trailer plug of the RV could have some rusty or corrosion cables on the wiring, make sure to clean that if so;
Check behind the plastic door of the CP-12 and VP-124 if all the copper pin are clean;
You may use a hair dryer to remove the humidity that could have on the copper pin inside of the CP-12 or VP-124;
After all the above test, You may shake or knock the CP-12 or VP-124 very gentil without braking it on a counter to help the relay that maybe stick together during the long period of not using it;
If you have other situation, please contact us by email at info@rvlighting.ca
